What We Do
We’re ready to serve
Every day in some small way, RRT volunteers offer a helping hand to those in need. Over time, we’ve channelled our support efforts into four key areas: youth, emergency services, homelessness, health and disability.
The Rapid Relief Team provides warm meals to a variety of UK charities as a modest gesture of support. From planned menus at larger charity events, to setting up catering camps on the fringe of major incidents in the UK – our volunteers are accredited and trained to provide a quality food service when needed.
UK’s Youth Charities
RRT volunteers BBQ and cheer from the sidelines at the NSPCC Messathon obstetrical course. We support the development programs run by Youth Clubs charities and organisations. And we serve with quiet compassion and kind hearts at Dame Vera Lynn A2B Walking events.
UK’s Emergency Services
RRT are organised and mobilised to respond to major incidents. You’ll find us in times of tragedy and crisis through fire and flood, replenishing UK’s emergency services crews on the ground and around the clock until the crisis is averted.
UK’s Homeless Charities
RRT supports the charitable work of a number of religious denominations, along with state and local government funded services for the homeless. Sometimes our catering services feature on regular rotation at homeless Charities, and sometimes we’re called upon to donate food or clothing – either way we’re happy to help.
UK’s Health & Disability Charities
RRT offers catering support at larger sponsored events such as Ride For Rowcroft , or the Lewis Manning Cycle ride. Our volunteers can be found handing out water to thirsty cyclists while serving sausages with sizzle – to give a little something back event to participants, volunteers and organisers.
More often than not RRT have to operate within small windows of time to serve those in need and there is no time for queues!
RRT’s suite of custom made equipment consists of BBQ, Fridge and Coffee Trailers, fully fitted out for efficient onsite catering. Detailed attention has been applied to our prototypes to ensure the designs will allow our volunteers to execute their tasks efficiently and effectively, providing rapid relief to our beneficiaries.
Our BBQ Trailers have been built to sustain rugged terrain and come with gullwing doors that open out as a canopy when grilling. These mobile BBQ’s can generate immense heat to grill up-to 120 burgers at one time. With a fleet of these BBQ trailers available to every region, we can deploy them at both proactive and reactive events.
Rapid Deployment Trailer
Our Rapid Deployment Trailers are like a mobile pit-stop. They contain all the critical equipment to to get a team mobile as swiftly as possible. Used at both proactive and reactive events, they contain everything from marquees and generators to utensils.
Our Coffee Trailers are our most recent addition. Quality barista made coffee has become part of Australia’s culture. This piece of equipment is totally self-contained, not reliant on power or water supplies and with a team of 10 specialist volunteers, it has the capacity to produce 800 coffees within an hour, and in the warmer season, ice coffee.
