The Rapid Relief Team of Rome was privileged to support an important charity race on Saturday 26th of October, the Il 3000 di Emilio.
Il 3000 di Emilio is a 3000mtr race held on the track at the Martellini stadium in Caracalla in Rome, all proceeds are donated entirely to charity.
The 200 athletes hit the turf in an effort to raise the funds “Operation Smile” needs to support their future missions in central Africa.
Operation Smile Italy, located in Rome, provides volunteer support, raises funds and builds awareness about cleft conditions worldwide. Operation Smile Italy’s volunteers and supporters have helped provide thousands of reconstructive surgeries for children around the world.
The hot sun soaring to a beautiful temperature of 26°C made the legendary RRT water bottles a welcome addition to the day, 716 bottles where donated!
The 06 best times (03 male and 03 female) for the day received an additional bonus this year – a free Cookie, the RRT Kookaburra mascot.
RRT enjoyed serving cereal bars, fresh fruit sachets and burgers to all attendee and contestants throughout the day.
It was a great day enjoyed by all working together for the greater good!
