Every year since 2015, the Tour de Bristol has helped to raise vital funds for patient care at St Peter’s Hospice.
Rapid Relief Team (RRT) have supported the ride from the beginning, supplying food for the cyclists at the feed stations. We provided a selection of snacks and hot and cold drinks at all three feed stations throughout the ride.
Why RRT choose to support St Peter’s Hospice & the Tour de Bristol
As a local charity caring for adults with life-limiting illnesses, St Peter’s Hospice is a charity that RRT Bristol has always wanted to support in any way we can. Many local RRT members and their friends and family have proved the care and support of St Peter’s Hospice and can witness first hand to the hard work and passion that is behind the charities success.
The Tour de Bristol provides a golden opportunity for us to show our support for the Hospice, allowing us to work with St Peter’s at what we are really good at, providing quality food! Our hot drinks and snacks are always well received and every cyclist who stops leaves with a smile on their face! We really enjoy meeting and greeting all the riders and getting to hear the stories about each individual’s link to the Hospice and why they choose to ride the Tour. As the support for the event continues to grow each year, we are looking forward once more to providing our service and keeping the riders smiling.
* Although RRT supported this event in 2019, this year the event has been postponed due to COVID 19, causing a significant loss of revenue to the Hospice which has a daily running cost of £22,000.
The staff at the Hospice have still been working tirelessly caring for those in their last days and supporting relatives during this difficult time.
We look forward to supporting you again in the future.
